Ex-MLA Nalin Kotadiya arrested in Rs 10 crore Bitcoin Extortion Case (In Hindi)

Ex-BJP MLA Nalin Kotadiya has been arrested in connection with a $1.3 million Bitcoin extortion case originating from Gujarat. Kotadiya has been accused to be an accomplice of his nephew Kirit Paladiya, who is allegedly the mastermind behind the case. The case involves the kidnapping of Surat-based builder Shailesh Bhatt to extort Bitcoin worth Rs 10 crore. Kotadiya has refuted the allegations and said that he has been framed in this case. In fact, he has placed a counter accusation on Bhatt and said that he has been involved in a kidnapping case himself. Whatever may be the truth, it is incidents like these which slander cryptocurrencies. We do hope that people see it as an extortion case and not a crime related to cryptocurrencies.
